Season 2 Episode 1 of “I Can’t Make This S%!+ Up!” will be done in 2 parts. Part 1 will debut at 1:30am EST Dec. 2, 2025. The episode will cover two topics. The first topic is “Catching Up and Craziness,” which discusses what has happened since the last episode of Season 1. The second topic is “The Definition of Recovery,” which explains what recovery means not just to me but to others in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
“I don’t actually identify as someone like “in recovery.” It’s not because I like still use drugs, it’s just because I think about substance use as a spectrum that you can also interact with. I don’t have the same relationship with substances that I did a decade ago, and I’m allowed to have that differing experience.”

What Does Recovery Mean To You?
“I’m in recovery from opioids. I have been since 2022. Recovery isn’t a simple concept though. I can be in recovery and still actively use substances. However, my use is not chaotic like it was when I was using opioids. I’m not in chaotic use because I still take care of my responsibilities and I don’t let my use control my life.”
